January 2018 will be three years we’ve had the Tramper. I’m amazed at everything we’ve done to it from the first “throw together” for a BBQ Cook-Off to now. The Tramper was always meant to be a temporary build.
I’m not the kind of person that gets an idea, builds it perfectly and is happy from the get-go with their build...never have been. I knew from the start that I may not like sleeping in a tin can. NO windows. I didn’t know if my husband would join me for the BBQ Cook-Offs or travel. So, nearly everything I did could be easily removed and the Tramper sold or just used a regular cargo trailer.
Now, nearly three years later, the Tramper has become integral for our travel as well as a cabin when we go hunting. It truly is permanent. I’m ready to make some permanent adjustments and thankfully more YT Creators and a FANTASTIC FB page have come along in the last several years. The Facebook page is “Cargo Trailer Conversions”.
What’s in store for the Tramper?
An RV A/C...We will have this installed in the next few weeks. This will free up our floor space in the V.
Overhead Cabinets...the baskets have been good, but I’m ready for more. And the ability to put our helmets in a secure cabinet when camping is a real motivator.
Shower...Yes, I still want a more permanent shower and I have some ideas. The shower will be last.
What’s my timeframe? About a month. We have the Lonestar Rally in Galveston the first weekend of November. I would like the cabinets and A/C done before we leave. Time to get busy!
