Hope Buying - Part 3

Ahhh, the love of a JEEP! You know the saying, “It’s a Jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand”? It’s true. I haven’t met too many that are in-between on Jeeps. You either love them or hate them. And if you love them, you have a REALLY hard time considering not having one...or three...

My Jeep is about $4,000 from being paid off. I haven’t done much to it...no lift, no huge tires, no rack on top. My husband put a nice LED on the hood and we LOVE it! But that’s it.

Lately, I’ve noticed I keep the backseat down more often than not. I can actually haul a lot more in the cargo of my Jeep than you would think. But just as I say with the Tramper...I need to utilize my air space.

So what’s in store for the Jeep?

I’m thinking a platform about 8” high with hinged openings into the “box” that can be accessed from the passenger doors but also drawers that slide out when we can open the back door. See, when the Tramper is attached to the Jeep, the back door can’t open very much.

We still need to be able to use the backseat when our grandkids are with us, so a 2nd box, possibly hinged to the first - but only a box, no drawers - would be built as well.

The entire platform could be used for storage under AND the platform would also serve as a bed when we don’t want to haul the Tramper. Nothing would be permanently installed in the Jeep in the event I skip the van idea completely and just buy a new Jeep...assuming the rumors are true and we get a Diesel option :)

These are my thoughts, plans...and you guessed it...HOPES! Time to get busy!
